Sarah’s Story.

Sarah Adams is a queer folk americana rock artist originally from South Carolina, now based in Denver, Colorado. Influenced by musicians such as Brandi Carlile, Eva Cassidy, and Sara Bareilles, Adams’ music cracks you right open. Her warmth and tenacity on stage will captivate you, and her lyrics will linger with you long after you see her perform. Sarah commands a stage whether she’s playing solo with her acoustic guitar, duo with her hand percussionist, or full band. No matter the format, Sarah’s live performance flows from high energy folk rock to poignant americana ballads, all weaved together through Sarah’s expert storytelling sharpened by her background in live theater. She wants to let people into her world, authentically telling her story in the hopes of freeing others to do the same. Sarah’s songwriting delves into everything she encounters: from the magic of the kids she nannies, to the perils of making art in a capitalist world; from the excitement of freely living out her sexuality, to the releasing of the trap of perfectionism, Adams explores honestly. She has the unique ability to sit with paradox and channel the intensity of complex emotions through word, melody, and a wicked sense of humor. You’ll laugh, you’ll likely cry, and you’ll definitely leave a Sarah Adams show with a newfound connection to yourself and the people around you. Sarah is honored and grateful to have worked with Kenny McWilliams at Archer Avenue Studio to create her first album entitled Release. Please contact her; she can’t wait to grace your stage!
